The villa was completely renovated in 2019 and the results are stunning. From top to bottom, every aspect of this home was designed with a guest’s comfort in mind.
The home has a gated entrance, and you approach the villa from below and drive up to the parking area on the upper level. You will then follow the tropical walkway, which is beautifully accented with colorful flowers which you will enjoy as you make your way to the front entrance. Once you open your front door, you will be in awe as your eyes will be immediately drawn to the wall of glass that looks out to the ever-changing colors of the Caribbean blue seas.
The centerpiece of Cinnamon Ridge is the great room, which includes your kitchen, living and dining area, all which look out to the gorgeous views. On opposite sides of the great room are the two primary bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There is an interior staircase down to the lower level, which includes three additional guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. From every room in this home, you have the spectacular views that will take your breath away.
For those of you that may have to do some work during your vacation, though we hope this is not the case, the owner has added Starlink Speed Internet, which has an upload speed of 32Mbps.
On the far left of the home is your expansive sun deck, which includes your private saltwater pool, hot tub, covered outside seating and wet bar area with a flat screen TV. If you are someone that prefers to have a heated pool, this amenity can be added to your reservation at an additional cost ($62 per day). Be sure to mention this at the time you make your reservation so everything will be set for your arrival.

Living And Dining: The 700 sq. ft air-conditioned living room is spacious and beautifully decorated. You will comfortably settle into this living space. Stream your favorite shows on the flat screen TV or sit back with your favorite tropical beverage and gaze out to the turquoise seas and watch the boats glide by on the open water.
To the right of the living room is your interior dining area, which also shares the same spectacular views. The dining table comfortably seats 10 or if you prefer dining outside, there is a deck off the living room with an outside table that seats 8. For a casual lunch, there is a dining table on the sun deck which seats 6 as well as a covered area with table and chairs to relax with your morning coffee.
Kitchen: The well-equipped kitchen is located behind the interior dining room and faces out to the amazing views. Should you choose to dine in, you will enjoy preparing a delicious meal while family and friends gather around the kitchen island. You will enjoy many laughs and create many memories during these times together. Or should you prefer to be pampered, hire a private chef and have them create a mouth-watering meal for you. Included in your kitchen is a gas cooktop stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, K-cups, French press and the always important blender.
Bedroom Details: Each of the 5 air-conditioned bedrooms are beautifully decorated and accented with soothing and serene colors, perfect for lulling you into a restful night’s sleep. The 2 primary bedrooms are located on the main level, each with a king bed, ocean views and a bathroom, with stone tiled showers. The 3 additional guest bedrooms are located on the lower level and are accessed by an interior staircase. The air-conditioned guest bedrooms (1 king, 2 twins that convert to a king, and 2 queens) include en-suite bathrooms and are connected by a common hallway, making the layout perfect for families traveling with children. All the bedrooms include flat screen smart TV’s, screen sliders that can be opened to the tropical breezes and private balconies.
Cinnamon Ridge is located 530 feet above the white sands of Cinnamon Bay, on St. John’s fabulous north shore. This neighborhood is much like Peter Bay and is one of St. John’s most beautiful and desirable settings. In this unspoiled setting in the midst of the National Park you’re surrounded by a naturalist’s world of sea, sky and pristine park lands. To get to Cinnamon Ridge you drive past your neighbors on Watapalma Road, Peace and Plenty and Anole.
Cinnamon Ridge is the last home on this dead end road, and thanks to the private driveway, there is no drive by or turn around traffic (none). Even by St. John’s high standards, this is an unusually peaceful, quiet and private location. The 200 degree view from every room is absolutely lovely and includes Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, a dozen other islands, turquoise seas and powder white sand beaches. Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay and Jumbie Bay lie below you and offer what travel writers have described as some of the world’s finest swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing and beaching.
It’s a 15 minute drive into or from Cruz Bay, with the villa being access from either the Centerline Road or the North Shore Road. If traveling from the Centerline Road, you will drive by some sugar mills ruins on your way to the villa. If traveling the North Shore Road, it is a beautiful drive along the coastline into the National Park. You will make an invigorating turn up the hill for a fun and adventuresome ride. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended, as local taxi service is not available in this neighborhood.

CELL PHONE USAGE FROM HOMES LOCATED ALONG THE NORTH SHORE: If you use your cell phone on the north side of the island there is a good chance you will pick up the cell tower on Tortola (British Virgin Islands). If this happens you will be charged for an international call on your cell phone plan.
PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can some times take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.
Internet Service: The internet service is subject to frequent interruption. We cannot guarantee internet quality or speed. Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.
Pool Floats: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

Dec. 2023 – We absolutely loved our stay at Cinnamon Ridge. The house is stunning, the amenities are plentiful, the views are spectacular and the location cannot be beat. We convinced our family (6 adults, 4 children) to join us on an amazing trip to St John, and our mother (who avoids travel at all costs) is already talking about our next trip. It was a delightful trip, one that we will forever cherish and hope to repeat again soon!
April 2023 – This is a really special property. It is tough for pictures to do this place justice. The views and location are simply breath taking. While the journey in and out takes some getting used to, after the first few trips it becomes easy and is well worth it to be perched high above Cinnamon Bay. The house was spacious, with lots of indoor / outdoor space to enjoy. It had plenty of AC in the bedrooms and a lovely pool and hot tub. We loved it!
March 2023 – Clean, beautiful property. Clear communication and above and beyond accommodating property management. I particularly love the inside access bedrooms – we didn’t bring this kids this time but will for the next! The house is at the end of the dead end road so it is very peaceful and relaxing. We felt like we were on top of the world! Highly recommend and will be back!
August 2022 – Omg I don’t even know where to begin! From the ease of booking, to meeting our island greeter down at the dock ,and then our stay, our experience was 5 star. The communication from the management company was top notch – they were knowledgeable, friendly and gave us great recommendations. The villa was clean, furniture was comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and often found ourselves getting lost in the endless ocean views. Our teens basically lived in the pool the entire time! We are already in the works to rebook for next year. There’s no need to be on the fence when Cinnamon Ridge is a contender… you won’t regret it! Thanks for a lovely stay. We will be back!
April 2022 -We just got back from our April 2022 spring break vacation with family and friends. Must say that the pictures are accurate, the views are unimaginable; couldn’t stop staring out at Cinnamon Bay and the BVIs. The house is very much as described and would recommend it without hesitation. Just a few things to note/keep in mind. To say the villa driveway is steep at the end is an understatement. Once you pass the gate, it is straight up. When they say you need a Jeep, its a must. It was a bit nerve-wracking for some of the folks in our group, but it also wouldn’t stop us from renting it again. Second, don’t buy any coffee filters. Its a drip-coffee maker, but only makes one cup at a time with a built-in filter. There was a Keurig as well, but we didn’t use it. Third, folks have left plenty of floats, noodles, etc and there’s a decent amount of beach chairs. Lastly, the only drawback is the bird poop. The deck off the kitchen/living area and the table adjacent to it were covered in bird poop. Completely understand that its something inevitable since the villa is in the middle of nature, but just thought folks should be aware of it. To end on a good note, don’t let the lack of air conditioning in the living areas deter you from renting this place. If you leave the doors open, it cools off in no time and we didn’t have any issues with bugs coming in, even at night.

From the beautiful views to the furniture, from the big beach towels to the kitchen appliances, everything was wonderful. The driveway was a little daunting but fortunately we had been on island several times prior and were somewhat used to the crazy driving conditions.
