Grande Bay – Island Therapy-Two Bedroom – Cruz Bay

Island Therapy is a beautiful condo located at the Grande Bay Resort in Cruz Bay.  This condo can be rented together as a two bedroom unit, or it can be rented separately as a studio unit and a one bedroom unit.  No matter how you choose to rent this condo, we know you will enjoy your stay.  Included with the one or two bedroom rental is one parking spot in resorts parking garage.

Island Therapy- Two Bedroom is a spacious and attractively furnished condo at the Grande Bay Resort.  Located on the third floor, you will enjoy the unobstructed views of Cruz Bay and the ever changing colors of the Caribbean blue sea.  What more could you ask for, right?  There is plenty!

Island Therapy has central a/c to keep you comfortably cool throughout your stay or maybe you want to open up the screen windows and sliders, to enjoy the tropical breezes. Either way, you are sure to decompress and settle in to the comfortable accommodations.

The great room includes your full kitchen, living and dining area.  All which look out to your private balcony and beautiful views.  The living room includes a queen pullout sofa, which works perfectly for those traveling with children.  Also included is your cable flat screen TV, where you can enjoy your favorite TV shows after a day out exploring our beautiful island of St John. If you must stay connected, you have access to the internet but we hope you don’t as we want you to unplug so you can absorb all the tropical nuances when traveling in the Caribbean.

Your kitchen is well equipped and includes stainless steel appliances, electric range/oven, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeemaker and all utensils, dishes, glassware and cookware.  If you don’t feel like preparing a meal, you can easily walk into Cruz Bay to numerous restaurants.  For the best coffee on island – Cruz Bay Landing wins our award.  There is nothing like a morning stroll along the water as you experience the island wake up each day.

The primary bedroom includes a king bed, flat screen cable TV and small balcony which seats two.  The guest bedroom is the studio apartment and includes a queen bed and separate sitting area (with a queen pullout sofa) with flat screen cable TV and kitchenette.

Distance To Town: Walk to Cruz Bay

Grande Bay Resort is located in Cruz Bay and is walking distance from many restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and booking agents who can reserve your day sail, power boat, fishing excursion, eco-tour or other relaxing entertainment. Several beaches are within walking distance, with numerous beaches on the north shore only a short taxi ride away.  You are also just a few minutes from the people or car ferries which can take you to St. Thomas, the BVI or other nearby islands. Nearest airport is St Thomas International Airport (just a 20 minute ferry ride to St Thomas).

A new ferry service at Crown Bay, located 5 minutes from the airport to Cruz Bay runs twice daily, and arrives at the National Park dock. Grande Bay Resort is a premier luxury property; well-maintained with lush vegetation offering many amenities, a beautiful rooftop swimming pool, a 6-person whirlpool spa, with an extensive deck area, and an indoor gym.  The elevated swimming pool area provides an awesome view of Cruz Bay harbor, and distant islands.

CELL PHONE SERVICE: Cell phone service on St. John may be spotty with certain carriers. Additionally, North Shore locations may pick up cell towers on Tortola (The British Virgin Islands). If this occurs, expensive roaming charges could potentially be applied to your bill and/or you may be charged international rates. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH YOUR PERSONAL CELL PHONE PLAN BEFORE TRAVELING TO THE ISLAND. This villa is equipped with Wilson Cellular Signal Booster Technology, which is positioned towards St. Thomas. The system serves to stabilize and strengthen incoming and outgoing cellular phone and Internet signals at the house, and, in most cases, your communications will be via cell towers on St. Thomas and not Tortola. St. Thomas antennas are AT&T dominated. Thus, cell phone users on St. John find AT&T the company of choice for coverage, efficiency, and, at times, to avoid roaming charges. You may wish to consider a pay-as-you-go AT&T phone for your vacation if you use another carrier. Again, know your cell phone plan. Lastly, for communicating with friends and relatives off island from the villa, always consider your computer’s video Skype mode via the house’s WiFi system. In most cases, this will be free.

LOCAL PHONE SERVICE: Local phone service is available at this villa through the island’s only telephone company. As with many services on St. John, it can occasionally be interrupted. We will do our best to remedy the situation should this happen. Again, you may wish to consider a pay-as-you-go AT&T cell phone, since we do not provide cell phones should local phone service be compromised.

INTERNET SERVICE: Internet on St. John has traditionally been poor and via the Island’s single telephone company using DSL connections. On a Clear Day … is proud to announce that our Internet service is now provided Love City Community Network (LCCN), a non-profit, high speed, fiberoptic initiative created from the ground up by St. John Islanders immediately post Hurricane Irma in order to supply the area with emergency communication. Should LCCN connectivity be lost, villa Internet fails over to a backup AT&T cellular connection. A suggested backup system for guests to be used on other parts of St. John and in St. Thomas is mobile cellular Internet MiFi via AT&T or Virgin Mobile.

We are sorry that there can be no refunds for Internet and/or telephone failure.

PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can sometimes take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.

POOL FLOATS: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

March, 2024 – We had a wonderful time on St. John, and our villa, Island Therapy was perfect in every way, especially the patio view to the entire bay! The location was so nice, and we were able to have a short walk to every thing there was in Cruz Bay. We absolutely loved the experience, and will recommend you to everyone we know.
