The owners continue to make wonderful improvements, from expanding the pool and pool deck, updating bedrooms and bathrooms, adding a/c to the great room, to creating a studio apartment in the upper left guest house bedroom; all were done with the traveling guest in mind.
When you enter the villa, you will walk through a beautiful stone archway into your private world of tropical gardens and brick and stone courtyards. Immediately in front of you will be the main house which includes the great room, two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms plus your private pool and pool deck. The guest house with two bedrooms plus a studio apartment are on the left of the courtyard and each includes a private en-suite bath.
Located off the main house is your spacious pool deck. We find the majority of our guests treat this as an extension of their living area as it includes a covered outside dining table, plenty of lounge chairs and the best feature of all, a pool with all day sun, perfect for floating the day away under the beautiful blue Caribbean sky. For those of you that may have to do some work during your vacation, though we hope this is not the case, the owner has added Starlink Speed Internet, which has an upload speed of 32Mbps.

Living & Dining: The living room is comfortably furnished and looks out to the pool, pool deck and beautiful views of Great Cruz Bay Harbor. With the newly added a/c in the great room, you can come home after a day at the beach, turn on the a/c and relax in air-conditioned comfort. Or if you prefer the fresh tropical air, open the screened sliding glass doors and windows, and let the gentle breezes flow through the home. Your living room includes a flat screen smart TV with Roku and has been enabled with Amazon and Netflix for your viewing enjoyment. For your listening pleasure the home includes a stereo with CD and Bluetooth connectivity.
For dining, the villa has an interior dining table for 8, with additional seating at the kitchen bar. On the pool deck there is a covered deck with a table for 8 -10 as well as a table for 4. No matter where you choose to dine, we are sure you will enjoy spending time together.
Kitchen: The kitchen was newly renovated and includes stainless steel appliances with a gas cook top, refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and drip coffee maker and K-cup. For those that enjoy preparing a delicious meal, this well equipped kitchen will be a joy to work in.
Bedroom Details: The Main House includes two air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own private entrance, one with a king and the second with a queen and both have newly renovated tiled bathrooms with showers. The Guest House has three additional air-conditioned bedrooms. On the ground level there is a bedroom with a king bed and private bath with tiled shower. On the upper level of the guest house there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a studio apartment with a queen size pullout sofa bed. Each of the upper guest house bedrooms includes a private bath with outdoor garden shower. The 4 bedrooms and studio apartment include smart TV’s with Roku and are enabled with Amazon and Netflix for guests to use. The upper guest cottage deck has the same great view!
Solare is located in the picturesque neighborhood of Great Cruz Bay Harbor. Your views look out over to St. Thomas, Pillsbury Sound and Great Cruz Bay. Enjoy watching boats glide by during the day as well as the fiery sunsets that can occur in the evening. You are about a 4-5 minute drive into the shops, restaurants, grocery stores and world class restaurants in Cruz Bay and an 8-10-15 minute drive to the beautiful white sand beaches located in the National Park along the north shore of the island.
INTERNET SERVICE: The internet service is subject to frequent interruption. We cannot guarantee internet quality or speed. Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.
PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can sometimes take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.
POOL FLOATS: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

Dec. 2023 – Great Stay – 5 Stars!
– A group of 8 women stayed here for a week long vacation in February. Four girls stayed in the main house and 4 in the upstairs guest house. Each room had their own bathroom which was helpful. I stayed in the guest house and both rooms had their own outdoor shower which was a nice surprise. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax in the kitchen and living room and we all enjoyed lounging on the deck. We were able to cook full meals in the kitchen with the things that were provided. We also used the washer and dryers after a day at the beach so we could have fresh towels the next day. The location was great and easy to get to from the town and beaches. You do need to rent a car or use taxis if you would like to go into downtown or to the beaches. Something that may be helpful to note to the owners- wifi is not available in the guest house unless you stand at the very corner of the deck. Since wifi is how most of us were communicating with home etc it would have been nice not to have to go to the main house to check an email. Overall, a great, spacious villa with all the basic things you would need. Perfect for a group!
– Had 10 Adults stay in Villa Solare for 5 nights, and four of us stayed for an additional 4 nights. All in all a great experience, the house is well suited for a large or small group. Kitchen is great, bedrooms are air conditioned, and the deck views are very nice. 7-8 minute drive to Cruz Bay. Nothing is too far on the island from here, it is a good location to launch from for your day trips. St. John Market is on the way to town and much closer, which we found is much cheaper than the other markets closer to town. Very quiet, good for walks. This place is just as advertised.
