Villa Lovango is a private villa, located at the Lovango Resort + Beach Club, just a ten minute boat ride to St. John and St. Thomas.  Villa Lovango is a glorious place to restore and relax and as part of the Resort, all resort amenities and services are provided to guests of Lovango Villa, including Beach Club membership, three beach experience, resort ferry to and from St. John and St. Thomas, concierge services and a continental breakfast delivered to the villa every morning.

The owners/developers/operators of Villa Lovango and the Lovango Resort are the Snider family, whose company – Little Gem Resorts – owns and operates two very highly rated hotels on two other islands renown for creating very memorable and unique island experiences – Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

As Herman Wouk portrayed in his timeless and now classic novel, Don’t Stop the Carnival, developing and operating a resort in the Caribbean is a very challenging, sometimes rewarding and usually entertaining endeavor. However, the Snider family is very much up to the task, including their third generation hotelier Matt Snider, who currently resides and maintains a family operational presence on Lovango.

Scarcity and exclusivity create value, and Villa Lovango exemplifies this rule of economics with its one of a kind status at a very unique and upscale resort. We recommend Villa Lovango for guests who desire a relaxing, exclusive, tranquil and unique luxury vacation. Villa Lovango is only 2 miles by boat from St. John’s gorgeous north shore beaches, but it seems a world apart from St. John. Living & Dining: The minute you enter the great room, you will sense the time and care it took to create such an inviting atmosphere. The design and furnishing were chosen to maximize a guests comfort as well as the amazing views that look across to St John and St Thomas. The air-conditioned great room offers cooling comfort, but for those that prefer the warm tropical breezes, turn off the a/c and let the cooling trade winds soothe and relax you. Included in the living room is a smart flat screen TV for streaming shows from Sling & Netflix, or log into your own accounts to watch your favorite sports team or drama.

Your interior and exterior dining tables seat 6 and both are positioned to allow guests to enjoy time together, all while looking out to the amazing views.

No matter if you choose to be inside or outside, by day or by evening, you will enjoy time spent together, creating those special memories.

Kitchen: The well equipped kitchen is located just behind the interior dining area. It is perfectly situated where you will enjoy preparing a meal, while looking out to the amazing views. Your kitchen includes your coffeemaker (Nespresso), microwave, toaster, SS appliances including gas stove, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator.

Bedroom Details: All three bedroom are very private, with each bedroom located in its own separate building. Each bedroom has an exquisite view overlooking the Windward Passage, with St. John and its exceptionally beautiful National Park rising up in the background. The bedrooms are screened, and include a/c, TV, bathrobes and a very quiet and private deck with a gorgeous view that no other villa in our portfolio offers..

Lovango Cay is a small private island that lies about 2 miles northwest of St. John. Villa Lovango and the Lovango Resort and Beach Club lie on the south side of the island overlooking Lovango Cove and the Windward Passage, with the pristine mountains of St. John providing an exceptionally scenic backdrop. The boat ride to Lovango is about half the distance of the St John to St. Thomas ferry ride, and the trip is usually quite pleasant with small to moderate seas.

As you approach Lovango you’ll notice two unusual features that set this island apart. First, you’ll see very few private homes or buildings on the island; Lovango is definitely not overdeveloped. You’ll also see no roads with long lines of traffic blemishing the island, for Lovango has only paths for walking and electric carts. With no jeeps, SUVs or 18 wheeled trucks on the island the absence of vehicle noise is noticeable and contributes significantly to the overriding sense of serenity and tranquility that prevails on Lovango.

While on Lovango you’ll get around by either walking, or you’ll be chauffeured by Resort staff in a small electric vehicle. The other feature that sets Lovango apart is its goal to attain energy self-sufficiency – Lovango runs on principally self-generated solar and wind power, and fresh water is provided by a desalination facility.

PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can some times take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.

Internet Service: The internet service is subject to frequent interruption. We cannot guarantee internet quality or speed. Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.

Pool Floats: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.
