DESCRIPTION: Satinwood Villa is an eco-friendly 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa with a private pool. This beautiful home was designed to be environmentally friendly, and does not have any connection to the electric utility on St. John, and instead utilizes a system consisting of solar panels, storage batteries, DC to AC Inverters and a back-up diesel generator to insure reliable and earth-friendly energy at all times day or night. The owner's have recently completed an extensive electric system upgrade with all new, state-of-the-art equipment to ensure reliable electricity service. With all of its conservation oriented design, Satinwood provides discriminating guests with the conveniences and comforts expected in a rental home on St. John while ensuring an environmentally friendly footprint on our beautiful island.
The main level of the home includes great room with the kitchen, living and dining area. On opposite sides of the great room are the two master bedrooms, each with a king bed and private bath with tiled shower. In each of the bathrooms, the owner has installed the use of advanced Clivas Multrum waterless composting toilets. The waterless composting toilets use no chemicals and have no polluting discharge and they can save an average of 18,500 gallons of water per year.
Off the front of the home is a covered porch, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your morning cup of coffee or an afternoon beverage. To the right of the home is the private pool and sun deck, both look out to the green hillsides and Caribbean blue seas.
On the lower level of the home is the 3rd bedroom which includes a king bed, ocean views and private bath.

LOCATION: Satinwood is located in Upper Carolina which is adjacent to Coral Bay and has panoramic views overlooking Bordeaux Mountain, Coral Harbor, Coral Bay, several of the British Virgin Islands and the Caribbean Sea. This location affords close convenience to the shops and restaurants in Coral Bay (10 min. drive) and it is about a 20 minute drive into Cruz Bay. The North Shore National Park beaches will be about a 10 -15 min. drive, depending on which beach you go to. You can also head to Coral Bay and go to Hansen Bay Beach (East End), Salt Pond and Lamshur Bays, to name a few.
LIVING & DINING: The main house features a great room complete with comfortable furniture and an 'entertainment wall' consisting of a flat screen TV with Roku for streaming, plus books, puzzles and games. The screened sliders open on to the private porch which includes a comfortable seating area to enjoy the fabulous views of Coral Bay and several of the British Virgin Islands.
KITCHEN: The fully equipped kitchen is complete with energy efficient appliances and all the necessary items to prepare snacks to full meals. Included is a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, toaster and dishwasher. A gas BBQ grill is also included.
BEDROOMS: The two master bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the great room. Each includes a king size bed and full en suite bathrooms with tiled, walk-in showers, and composting toilet. Each master bedroom also has a loft sleeping area complete with two twin beds (accessed by a ladder). There is a ceiling fan in each bedroom and floor/table fans located in the lofts. The third bedroom is located on the lower level and includes a king bed, sitting area, ocean views and attached bath.
