DESCRIPTION: Le Lapin is an inviting 4-bedroom, 4 bath private villa with solar heated pool and a generator for the home. The homeowners designed the villa to appeal to all St. John vacationers, as very few homes on the island are fully contained in one living space. From the great room to the bedrooms, all are interior access, which makes it a perfect choice for families traveling with children or couples looking for a spacious island getaway.

From where you park your vehicle, you walk up a few stairs to the gated pool area. The pool is 34 ft x 12 ft and includes plenty of lounge chairs for you to work on your golden tan or if you prefer some shade, relax in the hammock under the poolside pergola. The pool is located on the less windy, west side of the home, where the sun shines from sunup to sunset.

Just up from the pool level is the front entrance to the villa. The main level of the home includes the kitchen, living and dining area as well as two bedrooms and two bathrooms. An interior staircase takes you to the upper level where the two master bedrooms and baths are located. All the bedrooms include beautiful views of Hart
Bay, a/c, and have a screened sliding glass door that opens to the unique wraparound decks and covered porches on each level.

The dual views are a favorite feature of this amazing home. From the living room, your views look out over Hart Bay and the south side of St John. Even though you are high on the hillside, you can still see and hear the waves breaking on the shoreline below. From the kitchen and pool side, your views look back across to St. Thomas and with this westerly view you will be in awe as the sun sets and as the twinkling lights of St. Thomas come on in the evenings.

LOCATION: Le Lapin is located on an acre of land in Hart Bay; atop the largest hill separating Hart Bay and Chocolate Hole. This very quiet and private spot enjoys outstanding 300-degree views, including sunrises and sunsets. You will love looking out over the beach at Hart Bay, and will enjoy listening to the ever present sounds of the surf as the waves roll on to the shoreline. Le Lapin has the highest elevation of any of our Hart Bay homes, and the splendid views include Hart Bay, Rendezvous Bay and the south shore of St. John, Chocolate Hole, Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas.

This beautiful home is only an 8-10 minute drive to the picturesque town of Cruz Bay. Here you can enjoy dining at many of the fine restaurants, as well as exploring the unique Cruz Bay shops; from Caribbean spices and T-Shirts, to gorgeous jewelry and artwork, no matter what your budget, your purchase is sure to bring back plenty of memories of your time spent at Le Lapin and on our beautiful island of St John.

LIVING & DINING: The open floor living area at Le Lapin is warm and welcoming and captures the east and west views through screened sliding glass doors. In the living room, you will enjoy curling up in the comfortable furniture all while enjoying time together away from your hectic everyday schedules. The living room includes a smart TV for you to stream your favorite shows from your personal accounts.

For your dining pleasure, there is an interior teak dining table for 6-8, centrally located between the living room and kitchen. For those preferring to dine outside, there is an exterior dining table on the covered deck which seats 6-8, which overlooks the pool and views across to St Thomas.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is both handsome and functional, with granite countertops, mahogany cabinets, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, K-cup, etc., 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, complete dinnerware, cookware, and utensils. Guests also have access to a washer/dryer.

BEDROOMS: The bedrooms are all located on the side of the villa that faces Hart Bay. This is the breezy side of the home and for those that prefer sleeping with fresh air, you will enjoy being lulled to sleep with the sounds and tropical winds coming through your screened sliders and windows. The main level bedrooms have twin beds which can be converted to kings, while the master bedrooms are located on the upper level and both have king beds. All four bedrooms include a/c, tiled baths and showers, walk in closets and beautiful ocean views.

"We came with our dear friends who we dont get to see very often. What a gorgeous and magical place to spend time together! The house was spotless, cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool each day! The beds were super comfortable too! One of our favorite spots was the first floor balcony taking in the view and enjoying the breeze! We LOVED looking at the starts at night by the pool. We even saw shooting stars! We had a great time each day at the absolutely beautiful beaches! Maho Bay was perfect for our 2 year old he could go in and out of the calm water easily. Favorite foods shrimp burrito from Sundog Cafe and coconut curry chicken from HighTide. Delicious cones from St. John Scoops! Overall, this trip has been everything we could have asked for and more! Cant wait to come back! The Medina Family

"The drive up to the house is an adventure (as my mini would call it). We were visited by quite a few animals; a (very sweet and friendly) dog, a hermit crab, a gecko, chickens and some stray cats. I forgot to mention we named the dog Kyle and he is fond of crackers. At the house we lost a shoe (just one), a skinny legs at and a towel. "This was our second trip to St John we visited 2 months before the hurricane hit in 2017. We were heartbroken when we learned that paradise was so badly damaged. We decided to re-visit in 2020 but then COVID hit. We must say that the process of delaying our trip one year was the easiest part of 2020! Thank you owners and Caribbean Villas! Le Lapin is absolutely the best villa we have vacationed in and we have visited across the USA. We were already looking to see if it is open next year. There is not ONE thing we would change about this place even the killer road leading up the hill to the condo (it gave it a hidden island feel). We would recommend: the Tap Room (I think we ate there 3 times!); Waterfront Watersports (we rented a dinghy for the day and it was well worth it); Salt Pond (take noodles & go out to the rock formations some BIG fish); Skinnylegs (the bushwackers will knock you out literally! Be careful!). We have found that if you wait later in the day to go to Trunk Bay (3pm) you can get in for free & the crowd is gone Also, the fish come out! We swam along the rocks on the right side of the beach around 4pm & felt like we were in an aquarium. Schools & Schools of fish and a huge selection of bigger fish out for dinner ?? Maho Bay had turtles, starfish and string rays Make dinner reservations if you have your heart set on a place it was up to a 2 hours wait. These places wont even do take out orders because they are so backed up! Wear your mask the islanders arent messing around. Enjoy and Thank You!

"Our 2 family group of 8 had a great stay here. Beautiful pool area and views, very private, nicely laid out interior was better than it appeared in the photos. Had an issue with water pressure that was quickly addressed- very responsive and efficient communication. Easy 10min drive to cruz bay. The road leading up to the property is steep but one quickly gets used to it. Having a jeep4wd recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

"I want to thank you very much for our fantastic stay at Le Lapin (under statement). We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at that villa, and of course at my favorite place on the planet St John, regardless of the recovery thats been happening since the last hurricane. Ill always want to go back regardless of the climate challenges to the island. I just love it. Regarding the experience the Caribbean Villas gave us Superb!! Details, details, details. Your staff was incredibly attentive to all the important details, and we were most appreciative for everything: -Website usability Friendly, Kind & Attentive office staff No problems adding addtl guests Very informative material sent in advance regarding arrival & departure procedures, the Island amenities, and of course need to knows about the villa itself (which I made required reading for all guests on the plane and a quiz on the boat- really!) On the island greeter Deloros Jeep rental coordination Jeeps delivered to the dock! Escorted to the property Deloros explanation and tour of the villa Special touches and welcome gifts at the villa Who to contact just in case.. Jeeps allowed to be dropped off at the dock upon departure.Im sure Im forgetting something, but the above is something to be proud of and is incredible in and of itself and made our stay that much more enjoyable.I will be back & will be coordinating through Caribbean Villas when I do Again, big thanks to you and your staff for an absolutely fabulous vacation!!!
