DESCRIPTION: Le Lapin is an inviting 4-bedroom, 4 bath private villa with solar heated pool and a generator for the home. The homeowners designed the villa to appeal to all St. John vacationers, as very few homes on the island are fully contained in one living space. From the great room to the bedrooms, all are interior access, which makes it a perfect choice for families traveling with children or couples looking for a spacious island getaway.
From where you park your vehicle, you walk up a few stairs to the gated pool area. The pool is 34 ft x 12 ft and includes plenty of lounge chairs for you to work on your golden tan or if you prefer some shade, relax in the hammock under the poolside pergola. The pool is located on the less windy, west side of the home, where the sun shines from sunup to sunset.
Just up from the pool level is the front entrance to the villa. The main level of the home includes the kitchen, living and dining area as well as two bedrooms and two bathrooms. An interior staircase takes you to the upper level where the two master bedrooms and baths are located. All the bedrooms include beautiful views of Hart
Bay, a/c, and have a screened sliding glass door that opens to the unique wraparound decks and covered porches on each level.
The dual views are a favorite feature of this amazing home. From the living room, your views look out over Hart Bay and the south side of St John. Even though you are high on the hillside, you can still see and hear the waves breaking on the shoreline below. From the kitchen and pool side, your views look back across to St. Thomas and with this westerly view you will be in awe as the sun sets and as the twinkling lights of St. Thomas come on in the evenings.
LOCATION: Le Lapin is located on an acre of land in Hart Bay; atop the largest hill separating Hart Bay and Chocolate Hole. This very quiet and private spot enjoys outstanding 300-degree views, including sunrises and sunsets. You will love looking out over the beach at Hart Bay, and will enjoy listening to the ever present sounds of the surf as the waves roll on to the shoreline. Le Lapin has the highest elevation of any of our Hart Bay homes, and the splendid views include Hart Bay, Rendezvous Bay and the south shore of St. John, Chocolate Hole, Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas.
This beautiful home is only an 8-10 minute drive to the picturesque town of Cruz Bay. Here you can enjoy dining at many of the fine restaurants, as well as exploring the unique Cruz Bay shops; from Caribbean spices and T-Shirts, to gorgeous jewelry and artwork, no matter what your budget, your purchase is sure to bring back plenty of memories of your time spent at Le Lapin and on our beautiful island of St John.
LIVING & DINING: The open floor living area at Le Lapin is warm and welcoming and captures the east and west views through screened sliding glass doors. In the living room, you will enjoy curling up in the comfortable furniture all while enjoying time together away from your hectic everyday schedules. The living room includes a smart TV for you to stream your favorite shows from your personal accounts.
For your dining pleasure, there is an interior teak dining table for 6-8, centrally located between the living room and kitchen. For those preferring to dine outside, there is an exterior dining table on the covered deck which seats 6-8, which overlooks the pool and views across to St Thomas.
KITCHEN: The kitchen is both handsome and functional, with granite countertops, mahogany cabinets, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, K-cup, etc., 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, complete dinnerware, cookware, and utensils. Guests also have access to a washer/dryer.
BEDROOMS: The bedrooms are all located on the side of the villa that faces Hart Bay. This is the breezy side of the home and for those that prefer sleeping with fresh air, you will enjoy being lulled to sleep with the sounds and tropical winds coming through your screened sliders and windows. The main level bedrooms have twin beds which can be converted to kings, while the master bedrooms are located on the upper level and both have king beds. All four bedrooms include a/c, tiled baths and showers, walk in closets and beautiful ocean views.
