Windcatcher is located in the west building on the main level of the property with easy access to the parking lot.  There are no flights of stairs to climb.

The cozy great room consists of the living, kitchen and dining areas. The great room is colorfully decorated and inviting. You are sure to relax after a day out exploring or should you want to stay home, you can ‘catch some rays’ by the pool, or just relax on your private balcony, while gazing out at the picturesque harbor of Cruz Bay.

Your air-conditioned living room includes a sofa as well as comfortable chairs, which are perfect for curling up to watch your favorite show.  For your streaming pleasure, the flat screen TV is RoKu-ready so you can stream from your personal accounts.  For those who need to stay connected, the condo includes WiFi, but we hope you take time to unplug so you can enjoy the ambiance of what St John is all about.

For dining, you have an interior table and exterior outside table. No matter where you chose to dine, you will enjoy watching the boats glide by in the harbor.

The kitchen is well equipped and includes a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker and the very important blender to mix your morning smoothie or evening tropical beverage.

The air-conditioned master bedroom includes a king bed and private balcony, which looks out over the pool area. The private bath is located across the hallway.

Lavender Hill is a small (12 units) waterfront condominium resort that overlooks Cruz Bay Harbor. It’s easily visible from the ferry as you enter the harbor due to its distinctive lavender trim and its waterfront location beside Gallows Point Resort and the Grande Bay Resort. The units are located in two 3-story buildings (east and west). Windcatcher – 5W is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit on the first level of the west building. Windcatcher has scenic views that overlook the harbor, Pillsbury Sound and the National park.

A pool and sundeck separates the two buildings and provides a private spot to relax or catch some sun. It’s a very easy walk to the Beach Bar, Banana Deck and other famous bars and restaurants that line the shores of the Cruz Bay harbor.

PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can some times take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.

Internet Service: The internet service is subject to frequent interruption. We cannot guarantee internet quality or speed. Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.

Pool Floats: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

April 2024 – We had a great vacation staying at Lavender Hill. It was so nice being able to walk down the hill every night to have dinner in Cruz Bay. After driving all around the island snorkeling in various locations we were happy to leave the car behind in the evenings. Sitting on the balcony and watching all the boat and dingy action in the bay was definitely part of the fun staying in that condo.

Feb. 2024 – Well maintained, well appointed and supplied and great view. We enjoyed the easy access to unit 5W

July 2023 – Absolutely loved our vacation & really enjoyed Windcatcher.  This is our 2nd year staying in Windcatcher &  it feels like our home away from home.  We will definitely be back!

June 2023 – Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful slice of heaven on earth. My husband & I love the island & we were finally able to bring our daughters.  We love being able to walk into town from Windcatcher!  We are bringing home lots of memories that we made as a family.  Thank you!  We will be back!

May 2023 – We enjoyed our stay at Windcatcher 5W, a neat & beautiful condo, with beautiful views of Cruz Bay.  We will be coming back here next year!   P.S. Kate & Shamal (Caribbean Villas of St John) are so nice and looking forward to seeing them next year.

April 2023 – We love it here! We think this is our 7th time.  Our favorite place to stay is Windcatcher 5W.  We have rented houses & other condos but this one is the best! From now on Windcatcher is our place to stay.  The views, watching all the boats & ferries come and go is so fun.  You don’t ever need to leave the condo.  Walking to town for dinner and lunch is a breeze.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo!

March 2023-  This is our 3rd year to St. John.  Every year there is more to discover.  Lavender Hill – Windcatcher is our island retreat! We are taking many memories and the amazing views from the balcony home with us!  God willing we will be back next year!
