Grande Bay – Latitude Adjustment – Cruz Bay

Latitude Adjustment is a contemporary and spacious luxury one bedroom one bath condo at the Grande Bay Resort. Located on the 2nd floor you will enjoy the scenic harbor views of Cruz Bay.

The condo is beautifully decorated with modern high-quality furniture, which is comfortable yet stylish all at the same time.  The central A/C keeps the condo comfortably cool, but for those that prefer the fresh breezes, turn off the A/C and open the screened sliders to enjoy the trade winds and ever present tropical sounds of the Caribbean.

The spacious living area enjoys expansive views of Cruz Bay.  For those times you want to relax inside, you can enjoy watching your favorite shows on the flat screen cable TV, or if you must plugin, you can access your email or work project online.  We hope you do not have to do this often as we want you to let the atmosphere and welcoming spirit of St. John envelop you during your stay with us.

The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for accommodating your culinary needs.  You can dine in at the glass dining table that seats, 6-8, or have a quick lunch sitting at the kitchen bar stools (4) and for a more romantic setting for 2, dine out on your deck, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets as the boats glide by.

The master suite includes a king bed, cable flat screen TV and its own small patio.  For additional guests, there is a luxury queen sofa bed in the living room that sleeps an additional 2 guests comfortably.  The condo also includes a full-size washer/dryer and a safe in the master bedroom closet.

Latitude Adjustment is walking distance to the shops, restaurants and grocery stores in Cruz Bay.  Should you decide you want to rent a vehicle, the condo includes one parking spot in the parking garage.

Grande Bay Resort is located in Cruz Bay and is walking distance from many restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and booking agents who can reserve your day sail, power boat, fishing excursion, eco-tour or other relaxing entertainment. Several beaches are within walking distance, with numerous beaches on the north shore only a short taxi ride away.  You are also just a few minutes from the people or car ferries which can take you to St. Thomas, the BVI or other nearby islands. Nearest airport is St Thomas International Airport (just a 20 minute ferry ride to St Thomas).

A new ferry service at Crown Bay, located 5 minutes from the airport to Cruz Bay runs twice daily, and arrives at the National Park dock. Grande Bay Resort is a premier luxury property; well-maintained with lush vegetation offering many amenities, a beautiful rooftop swimming pool, a 6-person whirlpool spa, with an extensive deck area, and an indoor gym.  The elevated swimming pool area provides an awesome view of Cruz Bay harbor, and distant islands.

CELL PHONE SERVICE: Cell phone service on St. John may be spotty with certain carriers. Additionally, North Shore locations may pick up cell towers on Tortola (The British Virgin Islands). If this occurs, expensive roaming charges could potentially be applied to your bill and/or you may be charged international rates. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH YOUR PERSONAL CELL PHONE PLAN BEFORE TRAVELING TO THE ISLAND. This villa is equipped with Wilson Cellular Signal Booster Technology, which is positioned towards St. Thomas. The system serves to stabilize and strengthen incoming and outgoing cellular phone and Internet signals at the house, and, in most cases, your communications will be via cell towers on St. Thomas and not Tortola. St. Thomas antennas are AT&T dominated. Thus, cell phone users on St. John find AT&T the company of choice for coverage, efficiency, and, at times, to avoid roaming charges. You may wish to consider a pay-as-you-go AT&T phone for your vacation if you use another carrier. Again, know your cell phone plan. Lastly, for communicating with friends and relatives off island from the villa, always consider your computer’s video Skype mode via the house’s WiFi system. In most cases, this will be free.

LOCAL PHONE SERVICE: Local phone service is available at this villa through the island’s only telephone company. As with many services on St. John, it can occasionally be interrupted. We will do our best to remedy the situation should this happen. Again, you may wish to consider a pay-as-you-go AT&T cell phone, since we do not provide cell phones should local phone service be compromised.

INTERNET SERVICE: Internet on St. John has traditionally been poor and via the Island’s single telephone company using DSL connections. On a Clear Day … is proud to announce that our Internet service is now provided Love City Community Network (LCCN), a non-profit, high speed, fiberoptic initiative created from the ground up by St. John Islanders immediately post Hurricane Irma in order to supply the area with emergency communication. Should LCCN connectivity be lost, villa Internet fails over to a backup AT&T cellular connection. A suggested backup system for guests to be used on other parts of St. John and in St. Thomas is mobile cellular Internet MiFi via AT&T or Virgin Mobile.

We are sorry that there can be no refunds for Internet and/or telephone failure.

PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can sometimes take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.

POOL FLOATS: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

-“We loved this home! The condominium complex was beautiful, the gym had just enough equipment, and the location was perfect! An assortment of restaurants, the ferry dock, bus, and taxis were so close that we didn’t need to rent a car! The Beach Bar was just a few steps away serving great fish and chips that we enjoyed while listening to the live music. When we prepared meals in the well appointed kitchen and ate out on the patio, we could still enjoy the music. But, once the doors were shut the house was quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the beach and bath towels were soft and plentiful, and the shower and provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were luxurious.
