This was our 4th visit to St John. We were here pre and post hurricane in 2017. We feel like the island has shown great recovery! The trees are green, the coral is back and the fish are reproducing! SO exciting! This is our 2nd stay at Le Lapin and it was perfect for our 2 families with teens! We loved mornings on the deck with the wildlife – the roosters, lizards, deer and crabs. We are missing our pets so the dog (very friendly) & cat are both friendly. The dof will make himself at home if you let him. We tried different places to eat: The beach bar (also 5 stars! best fish and chips), skinny legs, 1864 (fancy and great seafood), High Tides (best desserts), Windmill Bar (good ice cream, decent food but the VIEW!!). We rented a boat and captain from Wharfside Watersports and went to Pizza Pe in Christmas Cove at St Thomas. New owners so a bit of a party scene but you can pick-up and ship out if you want. Call ahead! Snorkeling: #1 was Cinnamon Bay to the far right. #2 Maho – far right side. We also rented paddle boards. If you wait until 2pm they will rent you one for $25 for 2 hours. You will see turtles, sting rays, and huge fish! We also went to Hawksnest, Trunk, Honeymoon (hiking involved) and Salt Pond. We saw the following NEW lif this trip: nurse shark, manta ray, starfish, lobster, octopus, rock fish (danger) and huge puff fish.
