Cruz Views #03 – Mosaic Sunset

The apartment is beautiful, modern, artistic, and tasteful. The views are amazing both from the living roomterrace, and from the “crow’s nest”. We had everything we needed, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Now, for the ships’ ladder to the second bedroom there was no picture of it, and I didn’t realize how high you have to climb. My husband and I don’t think it is safe for children to sleep upstairs. For younger kids it’s out of the question, we didn’t even let our 11 years old sleep there. It is very realistic for children to wake up at night to go to the bathroom (or for whatever reason), be disoriented and not realizing in the dark in their sleepy state that they are not at home, and take a plunge straight down the ladder opening. The problem is not going up and down the stairs, but if the child wakes up at night. I ended up sleeping upstairs with my teen daughter, and even that I thought it was fun the first day, it was too much for me by the end of the week climbing up and down after a full day of hiking and snorkeling. And it was difficult to bring things up and down since you need both hands for holding on to the railladder. As for the location it’s perfect. It is 2 minutes drive from the town center, and you can also walk to town (though it’s not too pleasant in the section of the main road that doesn’t have sidewalks), probably took us 10 mins.
