LOCATION. Wind Chime sits on the top of Gifft Hill in a unique setting that offers abundant privacy and a true feeling of being away from it all. Unlike the other Gifft Hill villas that we offer, Wind Chime faces east and southeast. The fantastic panorama seen from Wind Chime sweeps more than 180 degrees and includes views of Fish Bay, Reef Bay, Ram's Head and the Caribbean Sea. From Cruz Bay it's a 10 minute drive to Wind Chime on paved roads, with the last 1/5 mile of the access being a level dirt road.

DESIGN. This is an undeniably attractive and traditional Caribbean design consisting of two roomy buildings tied together by walkways, patios and decks. The tiled floors, beamed ceilings, tropical colors and landscaping give this one level home a very Caribbean essence, but this Caribbean soul is blended with a just a touch of the southwest. The great house contains the living, dining and kitchen areas plus two guest bedrooms, while the master bedroom is in its own separate pavilion. The pool and pool deck is off the master bedroom while the great house is surrounded on three sides by sun decks and patios. The private and romantic hot tub is located on the roof of the master bedroom.

LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN. The elegant living room is both spacious and refined, with tiled floors, a cypress cathedral ceiling, a tiled fireplace, ceiling fans and wicker furniture and matching accessories. Entertainment is provided by a 32" cable color TV, VCR and DVD player and a surround sound stereo/cassette/CD system.

The interior dining room is just off the kitchen and seats 6 - 8 at a maple table, or you may prefer the garden dining patio seating 6 on the sheltered side of the villa or the grand view gazebo dining area seating 4 - 6 on the windward side of Wind Chime. A gas barbecue is included.

The kitchen is superb, well equipped and very functional. It includes tiled counters, a gas 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, toaster oven and a phone. A tiled bar counter seats 4 in wicker bar chairs. A washer/dryer is located off the kitchen.

BEDROOMS. The master bedroom (king with a/c) is located in a private cabana and includes a love seat and upholstered chair, cable TV/VCR, phone, ceiling fans, a private deck with table for 2 and a tiled bath with garden shower. Spiral stairs lead to a tiled rooftop Jacuzzi deck with a table for 2 and romantic views.

The guest bedrooms (both a/c) are located in the Great House and each includes upholstered furniture and a gorgeous armoire, TV/VCR, stereo/cassette/CD, telephone and a tiled bath and shower. Each bedroom is fully screened and opens to a garden patio or gazebo for private dining.

CARIBBEAN VILLAS' VIEW. The entrance to Wind Chime, through a tiled patio and 10' arched and screened mahogany doors, gives a clue to the subtle beauty that is about to unfold. Wind Chime was built in 1991 but still retains its attractive appeal and beauty.
