DESIGN. The design of Vista Caribe is similar to the design of its superb, 4-bedroom sister home, Las Brisas Caribe. Like Las Brisas, this is a well-constructed and furnished villa that was designed to be a high-end, very comfortable rental home. The handsome, 3-level design consists of multiple adjoining buildings with separate exterior rooflines but with an interior that is all under one continuous roof. Vista Caribe also incorporates many classic architectural features, such as; tiled roofs, an antique brick pool deck, beamed cathedral ceilings, tiled floors throughout, 12 foot Doric columns, arched walls, and mahogany French doors that open to tiled patios and verandas. You park above the house and descend a flight of stairs to a tiled deck where a set of French doors opens to the great room. The formal dining room and kitchen adjoin the great room on its north side, while the brick pool deck, pool and gazebo are on the south side. Beyond the kitchen and laundry room, a common set of interior stairs leads to the bedrooms. Each of the 3 bedrooms is on a different level and each bedroom faces south to capture the dazzling views. The fantastic master bedroom is on the uppermost level and the kid's bedroom (2 twins) is one level below.
Kitchen/Dining/Living Room. Granite countertops, mahogany cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a tiled floor and a beamed cathedral ceiling - you would be hard pressed to find a more handsome kitchen than this. It's not only beautiful, it's also well equipped with a 5-burner gas stove with hood, standard and convection SS ovens, a SS refrigerator/freezer, SS microwave, SS dishwasher, a mahogany wine rack and lots more - this is definitely a great kitchen. A mahogany and granite half bath is off the kitchen, as is the large laundry room with washer and dryer. Even the laundry room has gorgeous mahogany cabinets in this first-rate home. The formal, interior dining room seats 6 at a glass topped table with rattan chairs. If you prefer dining outside, a table on the covered deck off the dining room also seats 6. With its large French doors, a towering cathedral ceiling, comfortable tropical furnishings and marvelous views, the spacious living room is an example of subtle Caribbean elegance. A satellite TV/VCR, and a stereo/CD/cassette provide the entertainment.
Caribbean Villa's View. Lots within the Virgin Grand Estates run from an elevation of about 100 feet to about 700 feet above sea level. Generally, the higher up you go, the better the view and the more expensive and desirable the property becomes. Except for Villa Hibiscus and Villa Del Sol (they were the first homes built in the Virgin Grand Estates), as of 2004 Vista Caribe enjoys the highest elevation and one of the quietest, most preferred and peaceful settings in this private development. The spectacular views sweep more than 200 degrees, from St. Croix in the south, past Little St. James and St. Thomas in the west, and beyond Lovango in the northwest. Vista Caribe was completed in late 2003 and began renting in 2004. This is the second home to be built by the talented development team that also built Las Brisas Caribe, and the same commitment to quality design, construction and furnishings is found in both homes. Much like its sister home, Vista Caribe represents a tasteful blending of classic Caribbean architecture with the comforts of a luxurious, modern home. Everything about this villa is tasteful and impressive, including such features as central air conditioning, a sun lover's pool, a shade lover's gazebo, an antique brick pool deck, the truly gourmet kitchen, columned verandas, satellite TV/VCR throughout, abundant tropical landscaping, and majestic views from all rooms of the house. Vista Caribe is elegant and romantic throughout, and with its impressive master bedroom and private location, this villa qualifies as a lovely honeymoon home. With its spacious floor plan and excellent privacy among bedrooms, this is also a great choice for couples, or for families with children. If you desire a larger version of Vista Caribe, take a look at its 4-bedroom sister home, Las Brisas Caribe.
