It's a 5-minute drive to excellent swimming and sand castles at Cane Garden Bay. Road Town is a very scenic 10-15 minute drive over the mountain, and the airport and Soper's Hole are both 15-25 minute drives, depending on how exciting you dare to make the drive. Garden Bay has a large palm tree lined, white sand beach and a delightful collection of authentic tropical beach bars and restaurants. This is a popular anchorage for boaters and the picturesque harbor is often filled with cruising sailboats and their sun tanned crews.
DESIGN. If the good-looking villa across the bay is named Seven Peaks because it has 7 peaked roofs, then this eye-catching villa could have been named "six peaks" for it has six separate roofs and four pavilions (buildings). The colorful, distinctive roof lines are a characteristic of classic Caribbean architecture that in this case creates a very handsome villa with imposing cathedral ceilings in most of the rooms. You enter this attractive home through a courtyard with a bubbling fountain and colorful tropical flowers and plants. The heart of Cielo is centered on the alluring swimming pool that is surrounded by a beautiful coral stone sundeck and colorful tropical vegetation. On the left of the pool are two pavilions that contain the open living, dining and kitchen areas, as well as a two-level bedroom suite. To your right are two more pavilions containing the other four bedrooms, while in front of you lies the beautiful view that reaches as far as the eye can see.
The dining arrangement is similar to that of Arundel with a relaxing lanai (indoor/outdoor area) with a table for 8 just outside the great room. There is also a table for six for casual dining on the pool deck. The Great Room is very pretty with its tiled floor, cathedral ceiling and elephant bamboo curved sofa. This room has a cable color TV/VCR, 3-CD player, answering machine, movie and music collections and books and games. A built-in stainless gas grill is on the deck.
BEDROOMS. Cielo has five bedrooms, each with its own sense of style, personalized name and TV/VCR. The Sea Turtle Suite (two twins, convert to king), is a 2-level bedroom suite behind the living areas. A sitting room, TV and mini-fridge are on the upper level of Sea Turtle and a private bedroom and tiled bath, plus a private deck a with double hammock are on the lower level. The Caribbean Reef Room, an air-conditioned bedroom (queen) and bath suite is alongside the pool in the bedroom pavilion. The Oasis Suite (king bed) and the Hummingbird Haven Suite (king bed) are both on the upper level of the bedroom pavilion and both feature tiled baths and private balconies. The fifth bedroom is the air-conditioned Coral Cottage suite (queen bed) which is housed in its own private pavilion and includes a private patio and a tiled bath with a beguiling alfresco shower with ocean views.
CARIBBEAN VILLAS' VIEW. Cielo is a villa for sun worshippers for it basks in the wonderful Caribbean sun for most of the day. With its quiet, peaceful and private setting you can even enjoy some "tan everywhere" time in the sun. The design, colorful landscaping, and overall furnishings and décor also deserve some praise for this is an attractive, cheerful, warm and inviting home. Another terrific feature of this home are the wonderful views that overlook the picturesque harbor below you and sweep down the coast of Tortola to St. John and St. Thomas. As cocktail hour approaches you'll marvel at the fabulous sunsets that fill the western sky. As darkness falls, the twinkling lights of St. Thomas appear on the horizon, the sky fills with millions of stars and the view changes from captivating to purely romantic.
