rebuilding of Rara was completed in 1997 and the result is an uncommonly

comfort for up to 8 persons. Rara consists of 3 buildings: the Great House
with 2 bedrooms and 2 master bedroom cabanas on either side of the Great
House. They connect with the pool by way of gardens, patios and walkways.
Native stonework, exposed beam cathedral ceilings, terra cotta tiled floors,
private and cozy decks and patios, designer furniture and artwork, lush
tropical landscaping and a picture postcard setting combine to create
an immensely enjoyable island home. A 3-5 minute walk down a private path
leads to the 83 degree crystal clear waters of Hart Bay Beach. LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN. The artistic living and dining rooms are furnished with a combination of antiques and designer bamboo furniture that blends comfort and function with beauty. From either room screened sliding glass doors open to warm breezes, a spacious deck and sweeping views of the south shore National Park. A cable color TV and VCR and a stereo/cassette/CD with wall mounted speakers provide the entertainment. Dine inside at the stately mahogany table seating The kitchen is modern and well equipped. | BEDROOMS.The 2 large master bedrooms
(2 queens) are located in separate cabanas that offer exceptional
privacy, lovely views and an intimate setting. The 2 guest bedrooms (twins
that convert to a king) are located on the lower level the Great House
and also offer romantic ocean views. Each cabana includes a tiled bath
and a private deck or patio that is perfect for morning coffee and other
quiet moments. The guest bedrooms share a bath and the fourth bath is
located off the kitchen in the Great House. |

Rara has always been one of our most popular and highly acclaimed villas, but with its new pool, elegant interiors and handsome stonework, the remodeled Rara achieves an even greater level of beauty, comfort and vacation pleasure. A few years ago we wrote that Rara is "a villa experience that will generate starry - eyed memories years after you have left St John. Rara is located in an unusually quiet and private seaside setting where shimmering moonlight, warm tradewinds, mesmerizing views and the background sounds of breaking surf weave a totally relaxing almost magical atmosphere." What was true in 1991 is even more true today; this villa will massage and spoil you to such an extent that you may never want to go home. This is definitely one of St John's most exquisite seaside villas and we strongly recommend Rara for honeymooners and other lovers (this is a very romantic villa), couples, and families with beach kids. * Rara Avis has a resident outdoor cat that visits the property. |
