LOCATION. Villa Serenity is one of only a handful of villas that offer the unspoiled privacy of the National Park at Francis Bay. This superb north shore location offers undisturbed natural beauty and peaceful serenity. From your deck you can neither see nor be seen by another villa, and it's an easy walk (no hills, 2/10s of a mile) to the gorgeous white sands and tranquil turquoise waters of Francis Bay. The naturalist views of green hills and sapphire waters are quite lovely. From your deck you can watch the sunset over St. Thomas and Francis Bay in the west, or gaze at Tortola, Peter Island, Virgin Gorda and the Sir Francis Drake Channel in the east. It’s a 20-30 minute drive into Cruz Bay via the beautiful and fascinating north shore drive. Less than a mile from Serenity, there’s a restaurant and store at the Maho Bay Campsites with beautiful sunset views and very good meals!

DESIGN. Villa Serenity is a 2-level home built of South American hardwoods and stone. You park on the upper level and there is a flat entry into the great room with the living, dining and kitchen areas. A partially covered deck runs the entire length of the upper level. The master bedroom and tiled bath is on the east end of the upper level with a guest bedroom and tiled bath on the west end. There are two additional guest bedrooms that share a bath on the lower level. The lower bedrooms are accessed by exterior stairs.

LIVING/DINING. The air conditioned, stone and mahogany living room has terra cotta tiled floors, vaulted ceilings, Henry Link wicker furniture and splendid views looking north and east through screened sliding glass doors. The living room includes a 32” flat screen TV/DVD, plus a stereo/CD, wireless internet, and an ellipse exercise machine.

The interior glass topped table off the kitchen seats 8, or you can dine on the deck under the gazebo at the table for eight.

KITCHEN. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a bar/counter. It includes an electric stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, etc. There is a gas barbeque grill on the deck.

BEDROOMS. The upper level master bedroom (king bed) is located on the east end of Serenity and the upper guest bedroom (queen bed) is on the west end to insure maximum privacy. Both upper bedrooms have tiled baths and screened sliding glass doors that open to the upper deck with superb views. The lower bedrooms (1 full bed, 3 twins that can convert to 1 king and 1 twin) share a tiled bath and both open to the lower deck. All the bedrooms are air conditioned.

CARIBBEAN VILLAS' VIEW. Many St. John guests are surprised to learn that there are rental villas in Francis Bay, for this area is noted for its natural and unspoiled essence. Fortunately for our guests, there are (only a few) rental villas in Francis Bay, otherwise this neighborhood is, and will forever remain, a very beautiful and underdeveloped area of St. John - thanks to its National Park status.
Villa Serenity is a spacious, comfortable and relaxing tropical home with wireless internet, but what makes this villa really stand apart from the crowd (literally and figuratively) is its Francis Bay location. Although you are a ¼ mile from the beach, Villa Serenity is hidden from view, no villa sees you and you see no other villas. Your view consists of sunsets, tropical forests, turquoise waters and sailboats off in the distance, and your view remains much the same as it was when the National Park acquired these lands in 1952.
Villa Serenity is ideal for any kid or adult who would love to be a 4-minute walk from exquisite swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and beach combing. This is a genuine get away from it all vacation home that is like few others on St. John.
The Francis Bay Estate (5 bedrooms-luxury), and the Honeymoon Cottage (1 bedroom-affordable) are also located in Francis Bay, and are also quite private and peaceful.
