La Bella Villa – Coral Bay N Hillside

La Bella Villa is a very attractive, one level villa built of native stone and concrete. The beautiful stone walls of the house are accented by 10 sets of hand rubbed and screened double mahogany doors that open to delightful views and cooling breezes. As you enter the great room of the villa, the master bedroom is on the left and the guest bedroom is on the right of the living area.
Inside, tiled floors, beamed cathedral ceilings, abundant mahogany, ceiling fans and fine furnishings create a rich and traditional tropical décor.
Outside, a large covered deck runs along the entire south side of the house and provides a spacious area for dining and relaxing, while the pool and private sundeck on the sunny southwest side of the house are great for grilling, cooling off and getting a full body tan.

Living And Dining: The living room is tastefully furnished with wicker and mahogany furniture and Caribbean art work. A British armoire contains a cable flat screen TV and DVD player, plus a stereo system with a CD player. Three sets of screened mahogany doors open to the covered deck and views of sea, sky and mountains. The primary dining table seats 6-8 on the covered deck, while on the pool deck there is a gas grill and a table for 4.

Kitchen: The NEFF custom kitchen is fully equipped with a granite sink, 4-burner gas stove and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and complete cookware and dinnerware. Bella Villa includes a washer/dryer, telephone, beach chairs and all linens and towels.

Bedroom Details: The master bedroom is both alluring and romantic with a king 4-poster bed and abundant closet space. The master bedroom has six sets of screened mahogany doors that open to great views and gentle breezes, plus a tiled bath and shower. The second bedroom (queen bed) overlooks the pool deck and has a tiled bath with a garden shower that is bordered by stone walls. There is also a pull out sofa bed in the living room.

La Bella Villa sits on a hill overlooking the scenic and tranquil harbor of Coral Bay (Coral Bay-northern hillside). A small and quaint community, Coral Bay is the “other” village on St. John, located about 20-25 minutes from Cruz Bay.
The picturesque views from Bella Villa sweep to the south and west and include Coral Bay Harbor and the Bordeaux Mountain area. Bella Villa is well screened from other villas by tropical vegetation, resulting in a peaceful setting with a good amount of privacy.

It’s a 5-minute drive to five worth-a-visit restaurants in Coral Bay, and a 10-minute drive to the white sand, National Park beaches at Maho and Francis Bays (north shore) and Salt Pond on the south shore.

INTERNET SERVICE: The internet service is subject to frequent interruption. We cannot guarantee internet quality or speed. Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.

PHONE SERVICE/CELL PHONES: Local phone service is interrupted regularly and in spite of our efforts to reinstate service it can sometimes take weeks. AT&T is the only cell service we find operates efficiently on the island. If you do not have AT&T we strongly suggest you bring a pay as you go AT&T cell phone with you as we do not provide cell phones should the local phone service be interrupted.

POOL FLOATS: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.

VEHICLE INFORMATION: A 4 Wheel Drive vehicle is needed for travel on St John.

– St John has long been a favorite vacation spot for F, A and me. So it was a natural as a graduation present for A and her boyfriend, G. We had never stayed on this end of the island before and found La Bella villa an absolute match for our needs. Great location, beautiful house, wonderful scenery & close to all of our preferred activities. We depart tomorrow with many memories of our stay at La Bella Villa and expect to be back in the future.
– We had a wonderful 2 weeks at La Bella Villa – 1st trip to St. John and probably not our last one! We loved the beautiful beaches: Maho Bay (turtles) and Cinnamon Bay we visited most often. We enjoyed hiking: Lameshur Bay trail and part of Johnny Horn Trail (up to ruins at Windy Hill) from where the views are just beautiful was our favorite; Caneel Hill trail was strenuous but the view was also beautiful. The house is just fabulous! I didn’t mind preparing a couple of dinners – who would with the view from kitchen windows like this!! We loved the outside shower (didn’t use the inside one even once). Thank you for the beautiful place to stay; we are leaving with great memories!
– What a great time we had! This was our 1st time staying in a villa on St. John – we will NEVER do anything different. We truly enjoyed your beautiful place and the location is superb! After such a hectic year, we thoroughly enjoyed doing nothing – relaxing by the pool, reading on the decks. Some days we never left! We enjoyed RamHead hike, swam at several beaches, ate at Skinny’s watched the Bills beat the Patriots, so that was the icing on the cake for my husband! Despite the weather reports of Hurricane Ophelia, we had 12 days of FABULOUS weather! It is hard know we are going back to rainy weather in the Northeast with a long winter ahead of us.
– Thank you so much for allowing us to experience St. John from La Bella Villa! What a beautiful place with spectacular views. We swam & snorkeled & explored. One of the donkeys decided to take a nap on the driveway – perfect example of how laid back & relaxing our stay was. We hate to be leaving but are already planning our next trip!
– We’ve had such a wonderful week here – away from the cold and dreary days in DC! The house is just fabulous… The weather has been perfect – from beautiful breezes at the beginning of the week to warm days to spend on the beach. There is so much to see on the island; so many beaches and so little time! The house is so great – love the privacy it affords on 2 “porches.” And the décor is charming – love the posters! The piece de resistance has to be the stone shower. My favorite part of the day was showering under the stars! Most of all we love your part of the island. Coral Bay has it all – in a rustic and private setting at a pace we love! Hope we can return some day!
