LOCATION. Frank Bay House is located in Cruz Bay, just down the hill from Amora. If you take a left at Frank Bay Beach the house is about 200 yards up the hill from the bay. This is a 3-story home that sits on a hill so you’re high enough that the view is quite impressive, it stretches from St. Croix in the south to Crown Mountain on St. Thomas, and includes sailboats cruising by, colorful Caribbean sunsets and the lights of St. Thomas at night.
In addition to the views, the big appeal of this in town location is that it retains a sense of peace and privacy, yet it’s a 5-minute walk to ZoZo’s restaurant and bar and a 5-10 minute walk to the Beach Bar, The Quiet Mon, The Stone Terrace and dozens of other boutiques, restaurants, bars and shopping in the charming village of Cruz Bay. Plus, it’s a 5-10 minute drive from the beaches of the National Park.

DESIGN. Frank Bay House consists of two 3-story buildings that are set at right angles to each other in an L shaped floor plan. The pool, sun patio and guest bedroom/bath (twin beds) are on the ground level. Exterior spiral stairs lead to the two master bedrooms/baths (queen beds) on the 2nd level. Concrete exterior stairs lead to the kitchen, dining deck and living room on the 3rd level. The living room is built in an open air Polynesian style, with a roof to protect from the rain but with no enclosed windows.

LIVING/DINING. The dining deck off the kitchen has great views and a table for six, and there is also a table for four in the kitchen. The living area is a 400 sq/ft tropical style area with a real Caribbean essence and great views, satellite dish TV (the premium package with 180+ channels), Sirius satellite radio and am/fm stereo with a CD.


KITCHEN. The kitchen has a 4burner stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, blender, toaster oven and a coffee maker.


BEDROOMS. The two master bedrooms are both on the second level with ocean views from each bed. The 3rd bedroom has twin beds and is on the ground level. All bedrooms have satellite TV, air conditioning, screened sliding glass doors and tiled baths and showers.

CARIBBEAN VILLAS' COMMENTS. Frank Bay House was built in 2001. From 2001-2006 it was a lightly used private residence and in March of 2006 it entered our rental portfolio. Although there are plenty of condo rentals in Cruz Bay, there are only a few quality villa rentals. Frank Bay House creates one more good choice for people who want an in town private villa.

The heart of this home is its pool and sundeck. With travertine marble, Italian porcelain, lush tropical landscaping and all day sun, this is a lovely and romantic area that everyone will greatly enjoy. It’s also an unusually private pool, especially so for a villa that is in Cruz Bay.

• An in town, yet relatively private location (much more private than any of the Cruz Bay condos).

For people who love St John but don't want to drive or to rent a jeep, or for parents with teenagers who want to be able to easily walk into the safe and friendly village of Cruz Bay, this is a great choice.
The child protective concrete walls on the 2nd and 3rd levels make this a safe choice for families with young children, and this design is also well suited for honeymooners, lovers or couples.
