LOCATION. Casa De Soñadores (House of Dreamers) is located on one of the uppermost lots in the Virgin Grand Estates, a private neighborhood of multi million dollar luxury villas such as C’est Blue, Rapture and many others. Soñadores sits at an elevation of more than 600 feet giving you a captivating view that stretches from Little St. James in the south, past St. Thomas and Hans Lollick in the west, to Lovango in the northwest. From sunrise to sunset the sun arcs behind the islands and across the Caribbean and presents you with a slowly changing all day colorful seascape. The blazing sunsets are exceptional, and the twinkling lights of St. Thomas at night also provide memorable views.
About a quarter-mile below you are the restaurants, beach and fitness room of the Westin Resort, while the renowned restaurants and shops of the delightful village of Cruz Bay are a 10 minute drive, entirely on paved roads.

DESIGN. Casa De Soñadores was designed by Michael Oxman, the architect responsible for some of St John’s most magnificent homes, such as Amorosa, the Peter Bay Beach House and Mermaid Falls. Like his other St John designs, this 3-level home is also a beauty. A coral stone and granite walkway leads to the primary entrance on the main (2nd) level. The kitchen in the round, living room, interior dining room, laundry room, a half bath and one bedroom/bath are on the main level, along with the pool, sundeck and covered deck, and the exterior dining area and the barbeque pit. On the lower level is the home theater and game room. Interior mahogany stairs lead down to the theater or up to the upper level with three more bedrooms/baths and balconies.
The materials and design features found in Soñadores are the very definition of luxury and elegance, including beamed cathedral and antique brick ceilings, coral stone floors and nonskid exterior coral stone decks, arches framed by 8' Doric columns, abundant granite and antique brick, custom crafted mahogany cabinets, windows and French doors, and lush tropical landscaping.

LIVING/DINING. The handsome living room looks out at the view through three sets of gorgeous 8 foot tall screened mahogany French doors. Central a/c insures your comfort and it is equipped with high speed DSL, a 32 inch satellite TV and DVD, and a stereo/CD with iPod compatibility.

The formal, interior dining room is off the pool side of the great room and seats 8. For dining outside, a cast iron table on the patio deck also seats 8. There is also seating for four at the stone and granite bar off the kitchen.

KITCHEN. This kitchen in the round is one of the islands best. With its antique brick ceiling, arched ceiling beams, granite countertops and custom mahogany cabinets, it’s almost a shame to mess it up. But this kitchen was designed for function as well as beauty. With a Thermadore high BTU dual range 4-burner gas stove plus griddle, oven and a ventilator hood, a s/s 4’ wide Thermadore high capacity refrigerator/freezer, a s/s microwave oven, s/s microwave, s/s dishwasher, a refrigerated wine rack, a granite kitchen island, and a s/s Fire Magic Regal gas barbeque grill just off the kitchen, you’re ready to prepare some gourmet meals.

BEDROOMS. All four comfortable air conditioned bedrooms are similar in size (255 to 305 sq/ft) and furnishings. All have a king bed, attractive mahogany furniture, a satellite TV and DVD, and romantic water views. Each bedroom has a coral tiled bath with a charming open air covered shower with a great view. The lower level bedroom and upper middle bedrooms actually have two showers, one inside and one open air. Every bedroom has screened mahogany French doors that open to a romantic covered balcony, complete with deck furniture. Your private balcony is a wonderful place to spend some quiet time, having a cup of coffee, reading, talking or just gazing silently at the marvelous view, and enjoying the moment.

THEATER. The 450 sq/ft theater is on the lower level. The theater seats eight in reclining leather airline-type (First Class) seats. A 55 inch flat screen TV and DVD player provide movie viewing. The acoustics in this room are quite good, and a Panasonic 5-speaker plus sub woofer surround sound system fills the theater with high quality sound.

GAME ROOM. The game room is also 450 sq/ft and is beside the theater on the lower level. This room includes a regulation pool table and an air hockey game.

CARIBBEAN VILLAS' COMMENTS. Casa De Soñadores was completed in January of 2006. It is the first villa that you glimpse as you enter the Virgin Grand Estates, and it suggests that this is a neighborhood of beautiful homes. You glimpse Soñadores rather than see it, for the great mahogany gates, tall palms, luxuriant landscaping and 7 foot walls allow only a peek-a-boo view, yet that glimpse tells you that this is an elegant luxury home. The electric gates swing open to the stately circular drive and the gracious architecture of Casa De Soñadores. It’s an impressive sight. As you enter the house, the blend of granite, coral stone, native stone, antique brick and classic design features confirms your impression that this is an exquisite home. Sonadores has many features that make it a great rental home, including;

Casa de Sonadores was built as a showpiece villa, to display the developer’s commitment to superior craftsmanship and best quality construction. A second home, Amorosa – Peter Bay, was completed by these developers in 2008. Amorosa is a reproduction of a classic Tuscan villa and it too is an excellent example of superior island craftsmanship and design.

Additional Information: There is a pull out sofa in the living room and theater room. There is also a small bedroom on the lower level with a queen bed and private bath. This bedroom could work for a nanny or older child.
