LOCATION. Bordeaux Breeze is defined by its exceptionally private, peaceful and very photogenic mountainside location on Bordeaux Mountain, about 1000 feet above the small town of Coral Bay. The house shares the same stunning views as those of the photo overlook at Bordeaux Mountain, and the fabulous views are some of St John's most famous and most photographed. The view stretches for 30 miles and includes the East End of St. John, Tortola, Norman Island, Virgin Gorda and numerous British Virgin Islands strung out along the Sir Francis Drake Passage.

Bordeaux Breeze sits on a 1-acre lot and except for its neighbor, Chateau Margot, there are no neighbors within a half mile, so this villa is blessed with an unusually tranquil and private setting. It's a 7-mile drive into Cruz Bay on paved roads on either Centerline Road, which runs through the mountains, or along the coast on the exceptionally scenic north shore drive. The half dozen restaurants, grocery store and gas station in Coral Bay are a 10 minute drive along paved roads. The National Park beaches at Maho Bay and Frances Bay are also a 10-minute drive. The access to Bordeaux Breeze is entirely on paved roads.

DESIGN. Bordeaux Breeze is a roomy and appealing 2-level, 2-bedroom design. You park on the upper level and enter into the great room, which contains the living, dining and kitchen areas and a (3rd) full bath. Screened sliding glass doors open to a 600 sq/ft deck which runs the full length of the great room. This deck has sensational views, as well as a hot tub and dining area. The infinity pool and its 500 sq/ft sundeck are carved out of a forest on the right side of the villa.

Sun lovers take notice - this is one of the most private pool/sundecks that we offer and it’s sun exposed all morning and most of the afternoon. From the upper level of the villa, interior and exterior stairs lead down to the two bedrooms (king beds) and baths on the lower level. Screened sliding glass doors from both bedrooms open to a 250 sq/ft deck that runs the length of the lower level.

LIVING/DINING. The living area includes an entertainment alcove with a 50 inch flat screen TV/DVD with surround sound, and an AM/FM/CD, Wi-Fi internet access, as well as some CDs and DVDs. There’s also a pair of speakers on the deck so you can listen to music in the hot tub or while dining. Just outside the entertainment alcove are 4 overstuffed chairs that face the always fascinating view. The living and dining areas open to the cooling trade winds and a 600 sq/ft partially covered deck with a four person hot tub.

For dining you have three choices. Just off the kitchen you can sit on bar chairs and dine at the granite bar, or 4 persons can dine at the glass topped table in the dining room. If you wish to dine outside under the stars, a table on the deck seats 6.

KITCHEN. This handsome kitchen is well-equipped with granite countertops and Jennair appliances, including a stainless steel four-burner gas stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, cookware, dinnerware, and a telephone. There’s also a barbeque grill on the deck, and a washer and dryer are located on the lower level.

BEDROOMS. The two master bedrooms are on the lower level. Both have king beds, a/c, ten foot ceilings, a 20 inch TV/DVD/CD, walk in closets, hair dryers, safes, and a polished marble bath with hand decorated his/her sinks and glass block and tile showers. On the lower level there is also an office nook with a telephone/fax machine and a printer/copier and high speed internet access.

Renters might find it convenient to travel with a cellular carrier MiFi – a couple of examples are AT&T and Virgin Mobile. There will be no refunds due to the internet not working.

Pool Floats: Pool floats are not guaranteed with your villa rental. If you want access to them, please bring them with you.
