LOCATION. Coco Beach is located on the Fish Bay
side of the peninsula that separates Fish Bay from Reef Bay, on the south
shore of St John. As you can see in Photo
2, Coco Beach sits by itself in a private and quiet location that is
on a side road that is off the dead end road that goes to Reef Bay. Much
of the Reef Bay/Fish Bay peninsula is National Park and it is a 5-10
minute hike through parklands to a secluded National park beach where you
are likely to be the only people on the beach. |

CARIBBEAN VILLA'S VIEW. Coco Beach was completed in
2007 and is part of a small neighborhood of recently built rental and
residential villas on the Fish Bay side of the peninsula/headlands that
separate Fish Bay from Reef Bay. Most of the land south of Coco Beach is
National Park, so this setting remains quiet and peaceful. You'll see elements of Surfside in the design and furnishing of Coco Beach, for both villas were designed and built by the same owner. An interesting feature that both Surfside and Coco Beach have in common is that they both connect to paths that lead to "off the beaten path" National Park beaches. Surfside connects to Reef Bay Beach, and Coco Beach connects to a small beach called Cocolobo. Just below your villa there is a trail that takes you through the Park lands to Cocolobo. There is no parking for this beach, it is a 5-10 minute hike into it, the trailhead is poorly marked and the beach is hidden from everyone except boaters and hikers. Cocolobo is one of the most pristine and secluded national park beaches on the island. It is little used and we would like to keep it that way, so we will only tell you how to find the trailhead if you are a Coco Beach guest. If you are a guest, on a quiet morning, go to Cocolobo Beach for a swim and snorkel and you will find yourself in turquoise waters, on a Caribbean beach, in paradise, alone. Snorkeling in the calm waters of the bay can be very interesting and you may see some bigger fish. On calm days it is possible to snorkel out to Cocolobo Cay, but be alert for currents. As for Coco Beach (the villa), the photos tell an accurate story; this
is another fine St John home built for stress free comfort. There is
certainly not a lot of traffic out here, so this hillside home retains a
relaxing sense of serenity and peacefulness. With its air conditioning
throughout, pool, coral stone sun deck, lovely views, and privacy, this is
an excellent choice as a romantic retreat for honeymooners or lovers. The
villa is a also paradise for nature lovers with excellent bird watching
and frequent deer sightings. This is also a great home for a small family
or 2 couples who value that away from it all
feeling. |
