Johnson Bay is a small, tranquil cove on the western shore of Coral Bay, about 8 miles from Cruz Bay. A coral reef about 200 yards offshore insures calm waters and good swimming and snorkeling. The house itself is lively and adorable, with all the character, warmth and colors of a traditional Caribbean home, yet with all the interior comfort and sparkling cleanliness of a well equipped modern home. The grigri trees in the 18 acre preserve next door provide a perfect habitat for songbirds, and the exquisite variety of tropical flora qualifies Calypso as one of St John's best examples of beautiful beachfront landscaping. LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN. The living and dining rooms are furnished with Henry Link Traditional Caribbean furniture which combines with high ceilings, ceiling fans, tiled floors and white walls to create a relaxing and inviting interior. For your entertainment there is a tv/vcr and a stereo with cd. Screened sliding glass doors open to a 900 square foot deck with great views, gas grill, deck furniture and a four person jacuzzi. Stairs from the deck lead to the beach. The dining room table seats 8 but you may prefer to dine on the deck or on the beach at the romantic table for 4 under the palms. A grill on the beach is great for beach parties or fanciful meals. The kitchen is well equipped with a telephone, gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, double sink, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, mixer, cusinart, and abundant cookware and dinnerware. A bar counter with bar stools separates the kitchen from the living room.

BEDROOMS. Calypso has two master bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two twins that convert to a king. The Henry Link bedroom sets are pretty and romantic with white wicker beds, nightstands, lamps, and a chest of drawers. Screened sliding glass doors open to the deck and a view of palm trees, calm blue green waters and sailboats at anchor in the distance. A private tiled bath with shower, vanity and mirror adjoins each bedroom.
