Design and Location. Bluerock is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the hill that rises up behind Cruz Bay. The house is at an elevation of about 180 feet, and the superb views stretch for 200 degrees and include dazzling Caribbean sunsets and the picturesque distant night lights of St. Thomas.
This 4 bedroom, 4 bath home was designed and built by the designer/builder of the architecturally acclaimed Mongoose Junction in downtown Cruz Bay, and the striking combination of stone (bluerock) and mahogany that gives Mongoose Junction its award winning beauty is also found in Bluerock.
This is a spacious 2 level home with 2 bedrooms on each level and a 25x15 foot pool with "swim against the current" water jets for a vigorous aquatic workout. Colorful landscaping surrounds the entire house and creates a wonderful tropical garden effect, and a/c bedrooms insure a great nights sleep.

Bedrooms. The 2 upper level bedrooms are attractively furnished and contain queen beds, tiled floors and cathedral ceilings. Both lower level bedrooms have twin beds that convert to king beds and one bedroom is actually a bedroom suite with a full kitchen and dining and living area. All 4 bedrooms have a/c and tiled floors and bathrooms.

Living/Dining/Kitchen. On the upper level, the comfortable living room contains beautiful stonework, Italian marble floors, a cathedral ceiling with Hunter fans and track lighting, and 6 mahogany French doors that open to a balcony. A cable color TV with VCR and a stereo/cassette provide the electronic entertainment.
You may dine on the deck at the table seating 8, or at the interior dining tables also seating 8.
A fully equipped kitchen, including a 4-burner stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, cookware, blender, grinder, toaster, etc., is located on the upper level, along with the living and dining rooms. A washer/dryer is also provided.

Caribbean Villa Comments. In 2001 many improvements were made by Bluerock's new owners, including professional refinishing of the rich mahogany that gives Bluerock its unique character. This moderately priced and spacious home is now ideally suited for vacation rentals. The convenient location provides a peaceful setting with excellent day, evening and sunset views plus easy access to restaurants, groceries, shops and tennis in Cruz Bay. The large pool has unique exercise jets that allow you to swim in place and the pool deck basks in the sun from 9 AM until sunset. The pool deck and the entire house are surrounded by beautiful, lush tropical landscaping, including pineapple plants and other fruit trees. The classic blending of stone and mahogany is beautiful, the furnishings are attractive and comfortable, and all 4 bedrooms have air conditioning. Bluerock has everything you want in a vacation home and is recommended for honeymooners, couples and families. The lower level bedroom apartment is also ideal for older children, nannies or in-laws. Mid week maid service is included.

* Bluerock has a resident outdoor cat that visits the property.
