Arco Iris

Location. Arco Iris is located in Point Rendezvous, which is a neighborhood of recently built multi million dollar homes located on the hill overlooking Rendezvous Bay and/or Fish Bay. The road that runs out to Fish Bay separates Point Rendezvous from Klein Bay, with Klein Bay homes being below the road and Point Rendezvous homes being above the road.
The scenic views from Arco Iris overlook Fish Bay and the Caribbean Sea and capture tranquil morning sunrises and bay and ocean views. This home is a good villa for sun lovers, with sun on the pool deck from early morning to late afternoon, and the covered decks on both levels provide shady areas for outdoor relaxation. It’s an easy 10 minute drive into the restaurants and shops of Cruz Bay, entirely on paved roads.

Design. Arco Iris is a 3-bedroom, 3 ½ bath home that was built in 2005, was little used and entered our rental portfolio in like new condition in the fall of 2006. This is a two level, 2500 square foot home with most of the interior living space located on the upper level. You park on the upper level and enter into the great room, which contains the kitchen, living and dining areas and a half bath. Four screened sliding glass doors open to the views and a 470 sq. ft. tiled covered deck which provides an all weather outdoor dining/sitting area. A covered walkway off the great room leads to the upper level bedroom/bath (Starfuit) and a 110 sq. ft. private deck that is separate from the great room deck. Exterior stairs lead down to the lower level and another master bedroom/bath (Shooting Star) which is directly below the upper level bedroom and also includes a 110 sq. ft. private deck. The third master bedroom/bath (Starfish) is also on the lower level and opens to a tiled covered deck, the pool and the sundeck. The 10’ x 20’ pool is surrounded by a tiled sun deck.

Living/Dining/Kitchen. The living room is furnished in a fanciful but not overdone nautical motif with ship models, fishnets and ship lanterns and other nautical accessories discreetly placed around the great room. There is comfortable furniture for six, plus a satellite TV/DVD player with more than 30 family DVDs, and an AM/FM stereo with a 3-disc CD player, plus a chess/checkers table and chairs set.
You can dine at the table for six in the interior dining area or on the upper deck at tables for 4-6. The tiled kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-burner gas stove and oven, a refrigerator with a filtered water and ice dispenser, dishwasher, double deep sink, counter bar with bar chairs, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, toaster and complete kitchenware. Like all Caribbean Villa homes, Arco Iris includes a gas grill on the deck, a washer/dryer, beach chairs and beach towels, all bath towels and linens and of course, a telephone.

Bedrooms. The 3 very unique, air conditioned bedrooms are all equal sized master bedrooms with king beds. Two of the bedrooms (Starfruit and Shooting Star) are located on the upper and lower floors of a wing that is a few feet off the great room. This floor plan allows each bedroom to be quite private with a private deck and deck furniture. The 3rd bedroom (Starfish), which is also quite private, is below the great room on the lower level and opens to the pool deck. The bedrooms are quite distinctive in that they all have beautiful wall murals that depict a Caribbean theme. All the bedrooms have tiled baths, and showers that open to the views, plus screened sliding glass doors that look out at the Caribbean views.

Caribbean Villas Comments. Arco Iris was built in 2005 and entered our rental portfolio in the fall of 2006. We were attracted to this home because it has a very tropical vacation essence. One of the owners is an accomplished artist and she lovingly painted the colorful murals of Arco Iris. The artwork gives this villa a unique vacation home character – this is a fun and fanciful home that captures the flavors of the Caribbean. Walt Disney would love this home. Some of the other great features include;

• Large outdoor covered decks on both levels with scenic views, privacy and comfortable deck furniture. If you love to be outside but not in the sun, covered decks are a blessing,
• A 20 foot pool with clothing optional privacy. The pool has a 7 ft. (wide) x 2 ft. (deep) ledge that is perfect for relaxing (waist deep) in the warm water,
• A tiled pool deck that basks in the sun until late in the afternoon,
• Satellite TV/DVD and a stereo with a CD player,
• Air conditioned, equal sized master bedrooms, and a great room with excellent breezes that stays comfortable throughout the day,
• Convenient 10 minute access on entirely paved roads to the restaurants and shops in the charming town of Cruz Bay,
• An east-southeast (sunrise) orientation that provides plenty of sun throughout the day and also blesses you with refreshing trade winds to keep you cool and comfortable.

Arco Iris is a comfortable home for 1-3 couples. There’s no doubt that kids will love this villa, and with the pool, a/c, and cheerful décor, this is an excellent choice for families.
